On May 13th, the Saturday before Mother’s Day, Netflix is partnering with Independent Bookstores around the country to invite moms, daughters and kindred spirits of all sorts to celebrate the launch of Netflix’s series adaptation of ANNE WITH AN E. The celebration will be a gift bag giveaway that will bring the beloved character Anne Shirley and her world to life for book fans old and new.
As the longest-running national celebration of books for young people and the joy of reading, over 650 schools, libraries, and bookstores will host Children's Book Week events between May 1-7 from coast to coast in all 50 states. The theme for the 98th annual Children's Book Week celebration is "One World, Many Stories."
