South Carolinian Cassandra King, will come to Square Books to read from her first novel The Sunday Wife. It tells the story of Dean Lynch, a woman who is struggling with the pressures and rigors of being the wife of a Methodist minister. The book has received astounding praise from the likes of Josephine Humpreys ("A stunner, a page-turner of a story that's at the same time smart and funny and alert to the nuances of the complicated South") and Anne River Siddons ("Cassandra King catches these quirky, complex people in their world flawlessly.")

King was born in Alabama and now lives in South Carolina with her husband, the author Pat Conroy.
