Two Letters Then From Booger
Den
DAVIS
TEMPLE grew up in Tupelo, Mississippi, and was a student
at Ole Miss in 1962 at the time of the riots that followed
James Meredith's admission to the university. He uses these
influences in his novel TWO LETTERS THEN
BOOGER DEN (Hats Off, pb. 16.95), a Civil Rights-era
novel that follows a Wall Street businessman's dark descent
in search of an old love in Mississippi, a page-turner of
sordid crime, long steeped in dark Southern lore.
Temple is also an accomplished scientist who has spent many
years in biomedical reserach. He divides his time with his
family between Long Island, New York and Bonita Springs, Florida.
