Fred Leebron's third book In the Middle of All This tells the story of Martin Kreutzel, a man whose life and family collapses with his sister's diagnosis of cancer. Martin and his wife are both unsatisfied with their jobs teaching at a small Pennsylvania college and the bad news about his sister drive him to leave his job and go to be with her in England.

Leebron has earned nearly every accolade a writer can hope for: a Fulbright scholarship, a James Michener Award, a Wallace Stegner Fellowship, a Pushcart Prize, and an O. Henry Award.
