Greg Garrett will sign copies
of his new book Free Bird. It's
the story of Clay Forrester, a young high-profile attorney
who, after losing his family, returns to the small southern
town where he grew up. Depression sets in and his only joy
is the music he plays at local bars and an old car that belonged
to his father, who abandoned him when he was a boy. Having
always believed his father dead, Clay is surprised to find
out that his father had been alive all along.
Garrett is a winner of the William Faulkner prize for fiction
and has widely published his short stories.
The signing will be from 5 - 6 p.m. at the main bookstore,
not Off Square.
