When most people think of wild and untamed territories,
they think of the West. In Jeffrey
Lent's new novel Lost Nation,
he tells the story of Coos County in New Hampshire during
the early 1800s. It was as wild and dangerous
as any frontier town.
The novel has already been favorably compared to the works
of Cormac McCarthy and Jim Harrison said of Lent: "[He]
has the expert mastery to create his own reality."
