Joseph Kanon will read from his new thriller The
Good German. Set in post WWII Berlin, it's the story
of Jack Geimar, a former CBS correspondent who hopes
to rediscover a woman he left prior to the outbreak
of war. In the meantime he discoveres the body of
an American soldier. His journalistic instincts force
him to pursue the story of the dead soldier and he
becomes intangled in a dangerous
and thrilling political situation.
Mr. Kanon is the author of two previous novels, Los
Alamos and The Prodigal Spy. There will
be a signing at 5 p.m., with a reading to follow at
5:30.
