National Book Award winning poet Lucille Clifton's most recent collection, Blessing the Boats: New and Selected Poems 1988-2000 won the National Book Award. Her poems paint landscapes of the strength and vitality of humanity, as well as it's sorrow and tragedy.

Square Books will host a reception and book signing for her at 4p.m. She will be reading later that evening 7PM in the Bondurant Hall Auditorium on the campus of the University of Mississippi.
