The
Queen Of Cool by Cecil Castellucci, is an intriguing
story about a teenager named Libby Brin. She is one of
the most popular people at school. Her and her friends
make up different trends for each day and pretty much
the whole school follows. Some of the days include pencil
day where you walk around with pencils stuck on you, speak-like-a-poet
day (self explanatory), pajama day, and quite a few other
interesting things. The sad thing is she realizes that
she is bored with all of them. So she decides to sign
up for a zoo internship, but she gets paired with the
weird girl that none of her friends like. Tina is her
name and she is pretty much a dwarf. That's why her friends
don't like her is because she is smart and short. After
a while at the zoo internship she realizes that her friends
aren't really her friends and that she might ditch them
for the two biggest nerds on the planet… can she live
without being cool? This book is a great coming of age
story but it probably for 13 and up
