by Holly Black

VALIANT, by Holly Black is an imagianative sequal to TITHE. This time Val, after catching her mother doing something that was in no right for her to do, runs away to the Big Apple. She runs into these two city street kids named Sketchy Dave and Loli. They take her to their secret lair. There she meets the "leader" of the group, Luis. They claim that faeries are real, and she does not believe them, until Dave takes her on a "delivery." Will she be ok, will she ever go home? (13 and up)

by Sebastian Rook

Vampire Plagues: London, 1850 by Sebastian Rook carries Stoker's traditional Dracula premises. Rook's vampires live by the same rules and live in a familiar state of darkness, but Rook has thrown in a Mayan twist. Set in London, 1850, it is a spine tingling, action packed novel. I loved it.
