Robin Bridges signs THE UNFAILING LIGHT

Having had no choice but to use her power has a necromancer to save Russia from dark forces, Katerina Alexandrovna, Duchess of Oldenburg, now wants to forget that she ever used her special powers. She's about to set off to pursue her lifelong dream of attending medical school when she discovers that Russia's arch nemesis--who she thought she'd destroyed--is still alive. So on imperial orders, Katerina remains at her old finishing school. She'll be safe there, because the empress has cast a potent spell to protect it against the vampires and revenants who are bent on toppling the tsar and using Katerina for their own gains. But to Katerina's horror, the spell unleashes a vengeful ghost within the school, a ghost more dangerous than any creature trying to get in.

Lush and opulent, romantic and sinister, The Unfailing Light, Volume II in The Katerina Trilogy, reimagines the lives of Russia's aristocracy in a fabulously intoxicating and page-turning fantasy.

Caroline Randall Williams signs THE DIARY OF B.B. BRIGHT, POSSIBLE PRINCESS

A lively tale of one young woman's adventure to pass her Official Princess Test, discover a means of escape from her island, and reveal her true destiny.

Thirteen-year-old orphan Black Bee Bright (B. B. for short) is funny, quirky, precocious, and adventurous. But B. B. has a secret. She's captive on an island in "the middle of very tropical nowhere" because she's forced to hide her true identity as a royally born princess from her parents' enemies in Raven World. B. B. must find a way to escape to "the Other World" where there are best friends and cool clothes, but she can't escape the island until she passes her Official Princess Test and undertakes a dangerous journey alone to the East side of the island, where eight princesses must help her discover what it truly means to be a princess.

Caroline Randall Williams is a graduate of Harvard University. She was an instructor with Teach for America for two years and is currently pursuing her MFA at the University of Mississippi. The Diary of B. B. Bright, Possible Princess is her first book.

Brian Biggs signs EVERYTHING GOES IN THE AIR

For young fans of things with wings, another oversized visual riot from the creator of Everything Goes: On Land (2011). Following a departing family as it wends its way through a teeming airport, Biggs doesn't just confine himself to winged aircraft--covering instead the entire history of flight from the Wright Brothers on. Topical spreads are filled edge to edge with early airplanes, modern working planes of various designs, helicopters, gliders, blimps and balloons. Knowing just how much visual busyness to pack into each bright cartoon scene without turning it into a confusing jumble, he also offers alternate spreads a-bustle with activity. Passengers wheel luggage through a concourse, undress to various degrees at a security station ("NOPE" flashes the red sign over the gate as a peg-legged pirate tries to pass), board a jetliner (later seen in a cutaway view) and taxi out to the runway for a climactic double-gatefold takeoff. Along with identifying labels, viewers inclined to take closer looks will be rewarded by the sight of five rug rats leading a harried mom on a merry chase, birds with or without jaunty hats, at least one personal cameo of the artist and other diversions. Required reading for both plane-iacs and any first-time flier.

Praise for Potterwookiee…

Praise for Wonkenstein:

“Comfy antics for readers who don’t probably much like reading—which, one thinks, is exactly the point.” —Kirkus Reviews

“Quite funny and has a lot of laugh-out-loud moments. . . . the idea of a hybrid Willy Wonka/Frankenstein character is original and hilarious.” —SLJ

“Highly amusing new series starter. . . . Skye gives Rob a self-deprecating charm and highlights the pleasures of books both subtly and effectively.” —Booklist

“Filled with spot-on commentary and a wince-inducing supporting cast, middle grade guys won’t be able to keep Wonkenstein to themselves. . . . This pitch-perfect offering should appeal to reluctant readers, not to mention the legion Wimpy Kid fans.” —Shelf Awareness
