Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy came by Off Square Books Saturday, July 24 to wrap up their book tour for In a Heartbeat: Sharing the Power of Cheerful Giving. The couple, featured in the hit book and film The Blind Side, are well known around town and in the Ole Miss football community so it was no surprise when a huge crowd showed up to meet them and get their books signed. As the enthusiastic audience patiently waited for the Tuohys to appear they were treated to a very nice selection of fine cheeses and lemonade courteous of the Ole Miss Women’s Council, which cosponsored the event.  The Tuohys gave a brief talk before signing everyone’s books. The first thing most people say when they see my wife, Sean Tuohy said, was that she’s much prettier than Sandra Bullock, and then they say that I look nothing like Tim McGraw.  After a good laugh the couple spoke about what they wanted to accomplish with their book. We want to make sure no child falls through the cracks, Leigh Anne said. They are an extremely down-to-earth and likable couple and we wish them well.
