This is book number 6 in the Wolfsmund series.

The tide slowly begins to turn. While the rebels continue to pinch in upon the Wolfsmund, its bailiff, Wolfram, is now at the end of his rope. Waiting until reinforcements may no longer be an option for the cruel station-master, as canton rebels are slowly moving up the main building after taking the Wolfsmund's flanks.

Now the time has come. Wolfsram and his most cunning adversary, Walter son of Wilhem Tell, will face off in a knife fight to settle the fate of this fort and battle.
Little is known about Mitsuhisa Kuji (born in 1978) however we are certain that is a pen-name for an interesting young female artist with one of the finest pedigrees in Japanese comics.

While Wolfsmund is her debut series, originally published in Japan by esteemed indie comic publisher and video game taste-makers, enterbrain!, she has been in the industry at least since 2004, mainly working on short stories with the ambition to someday have her own feature length seres. But before she began working on her own short stories, she was the assistant illustrator for two of the biggest names in comic art - Kentaro Miura (author of the best-selling series BERSERK) and Kaoru Mori (creator of the Victorian maid drama, EMMA). Since her debut work, "Samurai Dream", she has gone to draw a handful of other shorts, collected in a book called Luminous & Brightness, before launching Wolfsmund to critical acclaim in 2009.

“From artistic blood that occasionally looks like jewels to swift scenes of violence or a bit of fanservice more in the interest of plot than prurience, Wolfsmund pulls few punches and hits you in the gut. Fans of historical fiction that pays attention to the history or those looking for some well done seinen should check this one out…but maybe don’t read it just before bed or dinner.” —Anime News Network
