About the Authors
Award-winning chef Robert St. John has spent more than three decades in the restaurant business. Twenty-nine of those years have been as the owner, CEO and Executive Chef of the Purple Parrot Seafood & Steaks, Crescent City Grill, Mahogany Bar, Branch, Tabella, and Ed’s Burger Joint in Hattiesburg, MS.
Widely known for his watercolors of Southern culture, Wyatt Waters creates paintings of the roadside South. His work has been featured widely in numerous shows, collections, and magazines. He owns and operates the Wyatt Waters Gallery in Clinton, MS. He received the MS Institute of Arts & Letters Award for An Oxford Sketchbook and the Mississippi Library Association Special Award for Art for his collaboration with Robert St. John.
