"Wirt Yerger has done more ... to further the cause of two-party government in the South than has any other man," said 1964 Republican presidential candidate Barry Goldwater, adding, "This is in itself a magnificent contribution ... and for this he should be constantly thanked by all people in the South."
A Courageous Cause is a 323-page historical narrative told in the voice of Wirt Yerger. It includes orginal research and writing by Joe Maxwell, journalist in residence at Belhaven College. An appendix provides 145 pages of never-before published correspondences between Yerger and five sitting presidents, as well as many other top political leaders.
THIS EVENT WILL BE HELD AT SQUARE BOOKS.
