This Monday, May 17, at 10:30 a.m., there will be an informal ceremony on the University of Mississippi campus to unveil three plaques honoring Mississippi writers Ellen Douglas, Barry Hannah, and Willie Morris, all of whom served as writers-in-residence at Ole Miss.
The plaques are placed before trees dedicated to each writer. The ceremony is open to the public and will be near these trees on the west side of John Davis Williams Library, between the library and Bondurant Hall. The dedication was first announced March 4 by Chancellor Dan Jones at the recent Oxford Conference for the Book.
